Funds raised stay in our area
The Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association (RGVDA) was formed in 2007, by area doctors and business leaders, to provide diabetes education to the residents of Hidalgo County.
Our mission is to operate as an independent and local not-for-profit diabetes association for Hidalgo County.
This allows RGVDA to provide programs and services tailored specifically for our area and guarantees that ALL funds generated by RGVDA are used for the residents of Hidalgo County.
We are the second organization of this nature in the state of Texas.
Our Vision
To promote a healthy community by minimizing the impact of diabetes in Hidalgo County.
Our Goal
To enhance the quality of life of all persons impacted by diabetes through education.
Our Mission
Is dedicated to the prevention of diabetes and its complications through educational services, early detection and awareness as follows:
